FAQ Entry #490

Home > Support > Frequently Asked Questions > 490

This is a respond to a previously asked question about the A' Design Award and Competition. The full list of frequently asked questions can be accessed here.

#490: What are Judging and Dissemination Preferences and how do I change them?

Judging and Dissemination Preferences, as accessible from Design View page, helps you to indicate your preferences for judging date, public announcement date and pr-campaign launch date. For judging date, you can indicate your preference whether you want your design to be judged earlier or later than other designs; this functionality was implemented as requested by some designers, but our research indicates that selecting it has absolutely no effect on outcome, there was no correlation between award score and judging date. Public Announcement Date setting allows you to indicate the order in which designs are published to public, however please note that it does not give you control over whether the entry would be made public or not; you should use Concealed Category Entry if you wish to keep your design hidden, Public Announcement Date setting only controls whether your design will be made public earlier or later than other designs, but this usually happens so fast, in a matter of days so it actually also does not effect pr outcomes. The Public Relations Campaign Launch Date however actually effects when we would prepare your press release and some other public relation materials, and if you choose this setting as earlier, we will try to but not obliged to, make and prepare your public relations campaign earlier; some people choose late as they might need time to prepare content of their own.

Keywords: public relations, judging preferences, dissemination preferences, judging and dissemination preferences.
