About Geun Young k : We live in a modern society where we engage in various relationships, experience various emotions in various situations, and control our sensitivity to display emotions that are required from the outside, rather than showing the individual’s “real” emotions. We do not confine these emotions and perceptions (controlled by the personas and thus unable to be expressed and stuck in one’s mind) to one object, but visualize them in a surreal image by indirectly projecting the author’s memories and emotion that reflects the present age. The numerous symbols inside the piece works as a mirror-like role that attempts to connect the piece to the inner world. This is accomplished by the déjà vu based on realistic narration that is exposed to us as a familiar figure and comes from a not unfamiliar but a strange, surreal world. It becomes a medium that makes us reflect on our deep conscious and unconscious’ abyss out from our usual emotions. In addition, the scenario provided by the piece stimulates our imagination and proposes “the space” so that the audience can inject the message they want. It also contributes to facing the moment of our lives and drawing empathy from it.
