| DESIGN NAME: 2-in-1 Slide to Rocker PRIMARY FUNCTION: - INSPIRATION: Slide chute and rocker bed can share the curvature. To double the fun, make a value set with combination of both...the most popular play features for toddler to learn balance and physical co-ordination all-in-one product. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Perfect for toddlers, all-in-one slide and rocker is great for indoor or outdoor use. Qwikflip™ design provides easy transition from slide to rocker. 80 cm L (32” inch) slide has gentle slope for beginners while the sure-grip handle ensures secure rocking motion. Durable construction and extra wide base provide additional stability in both positions. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Easy transformation. No tools necessary. 3-Steps Qwikflip design provides easy transition from Rocker to Slide. Step 1 - Swing open the slide landing extension. Step 2 - Turn the product upside-down. Step 3 - Loose the screw-cap and adjust the rocker stopper to the its upright position for changing it into the slide handle. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Screw nuts insert-molding technology is applied for locking the Rocker body to the rocking bed (the slide chute underneath). The screw nuts are embedded permanantly inside the plastic rocking bed to lessen the deterioration and avoid easy rusting under outdoor climate. CHALLENGE: The upfront challenge is to make an innovative product in combination of 2 popular play equipment into one uniqueness product. The product dimension and shape is required to be designed fit for 1.5 to 3 year-old fun to promote coordination of (whole, lower or upper) body muscles, encourage balance and muscle. Safe in both position with extra wide base for additional stability. And design suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. And last but not least, the transformation need to be simple and done with ease by adult, vice versa, locking system to prohibit children to loose lock and convert the product for their own safefy.
